About Engineer Exam Lab
Engineer Exam Lab is a practice community for the FE and PE engineering exams, hosted on Skool. This website is its public library: plain answers to the questions people ask about the exams, each sourced to NCEES or a state licensing board, and free practice problems with full worked solutions.
What members get
Inside the community, a new FE problem posts every day at 6:00 AM Central, and the full worked solution follows at 6:00 PM Central. A timed mock posts every Saturday at 9:00 AM Central. Members post questions in the Ask category and the tutor answers with the steps.
Standard (FE) costs $59 a month or $590 a year. Premium (PE) costs $89 a month or $890 a year and includes everything in Standard. New members get a 7-day free trial. There are no refunds; you can cancel any time in your Skool settings, and access runs to the end of the period you paid for.
How the problems are made
Software generates each problem from the formulas in the NCEES reference handbooks, draws realistic values with units, and solves it. Code checks every answer before a problem is posted, and a second AI model reviews the wording. Each wrong option comes from a named mistake, and the solution explains it. Posts and replies written by AI carry a robot mark inside the community. The problems are original: nothing comes from NCEES practice exams, paid question banks, or real exams.
How this site is written
Every fact on this site is restated from a public source: NCEES pages, the NCEES Examinee Guide, the exam specifications, the reference handbooks, state board pages, or a seller’s published price page. Each page lists its sources with the date we read them. Numbers that are not in a source are either computed from sourced numbers (and labeled that way) or come from our problem engine. Study plans are our suggestions and say so. Nothing here is legal advice; for state rules, confirm with your licensing board.
Pages are drafted with AI assistance from a fixed set of sourced facts, then checked by code before they are published: every number on a page must match the fact list, and pages that fail are held back.
If you find an error, write to hello@engineerexamlab.com with the page and the correction, and we will fix it.
Who writes it
